Our Council recently ran a survey on switching the order of our Sunday School and Worship Service. Some people have suggested that we would do well to have worship first, then Sunday School after. Some have had experiences at churches where that has worked really well for them. Others have had experiences were it didn’t work so well. So, we sought the wisdom of the body at Bethel. Thank you to the many of you who responded with your thoughtful comments!

While many of you were willing to at least try the change out for a year, the clear majority did not see the benefit of changing the worship services. Since we had a good response to the survey and since it was quite clear which direction the majority were leaning, the Council decided that we would not pursue the matter further. As a result, we didn’t see the need to hold the Town Hall meeting on November 30 to discuss the outcome…so we canceled it!

Some are doubtless relieved by the decision; others, disappointed. We are a diverse group with differing opinions…and that’s a good thing! We continue to stretch each other and grow in our faith together. And that’s even better.
